Welcome: Liv Tubbs

Posted Tuesday February 11, 2025

Hello! My name is Liv Tubbs, and I am excited to announce that I have joined the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation team as a student intern. I am a Kansas State University junior studying to get my B.A. in Advertising and Public Relations. I’m originally from Colby, KS; my parents are Luke and Jada Tubbs. My mother, Jada, is the Director of the Thomas County Community Foundation. Her passion and love for the foundation have rubbed off on me, as I have seen how rewarding her work is. My passion for non-profits has grown, and I look forward to gaining more experience and knowledge here!

I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation! This is a unique experience, and I can’t wait to see how this organization impacts the community and surrounding people. I have always found non-profit work fascinating, and I am excited to learn more about GMCF and its operation. GMCF is the second foundation I’ve worked with; in my senior year of high school, I was able to be a student board member for the TCCF! Working with a smaller foundation vs. a big one will give me great insight and knowledge about community foundations and their inspiring work. I am excited to gain new experiences, develop valuable skills, and have the chance to grow both personally and professionally.

Outside school and work, I enjoy working out, crafting, baking, and spending time with my family and friends.

I cannot wait to make the most of this internship and work with GMCF to continue improving the community!
