A Place to Call Home
The Greater Sabetha Community Foundation has been serving the Sabetha area since December 2015. In those nine years, the GSCF has not had a place to call "home" except a home office, coffee shop, and even a laundry room turned office space. Although these places serve their purpose, having a space we could call our own has always been a dream.
A former dentist's office sat for sale on North 9th Street for some time. Leslie, now Director of Partners, had the idea of approaching the owners to rent the space. As foundation supporters, they were happy to create a partnership and rent us the perfect space. At 1100 sq feet, this space consists of a waiting room, office, meeting room, kitchenette, bathroom, and clean basement for storage space. It also includes a parking lot with ample parking. The GSCF Board of Directors approved a $6,000 budget for outfitting the space with new furniture, paint, and décor. They will hold their first board meeting in the new office on Tuesday, October 8th.
This building provides a "shingle" in the community and the perfect place to quickly meet with donors, new funds, and non-profit organizations. We are also excited to host partner trainings and meetings for our community in the coming year. We look forward to all the benefits this new building offers to GSCF and the community as a whole. The new office space is 112 N. 9th Street, Sabetha, KS 66534.
