Manhattan Marlins - 2023

The Manhattan Marlins Swim Team was awarded an $8,500 YES! Fund grant to cover pool rental costs at Genesis Health Club and City Park Pool, ensuring continued training and competition opportunities for their 82 team members. The grant also supported the Little Apple Swim Invitational, which included 150 additional swimmers from across Kansas. Despite the financial challenges following the closure of the K-State Natatorium, the grant helped the Manhattan Marlins balance their budget and achieve a 10% enrollment increase, bringing in 22 new young swimmers. This funding has been crucial in maintaining their programs and providing a safe, fun environment for swimmers of all ages.
