Manhattan Arts Center - 2023

Manhattan Arts Center (MAC) received a $10,000 grant from the YES! Fund to support their Across the Palette – MAC Arts Education Programs. This funding is dedicated to providing scholarships and essential supplies for a wide range of art classes, including clay, painting, drawing, and theatre, to foster creativity and self-expression among local youth. The program, which will continue until December 20, 2024, has reached 42 students through private and group music lessons and is projected to serve 250 students across various classes and programs this year. The grant has enabled MAC to offer significant support, including scholarships amounting to $1,814 in the spring and anticipated $2,000 for the fall, along with necessary supplies for art and theatre classes. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, highlighting MAC's engaging and supportive environment. New initiatives like the Tech Academy and expanded teen classes are set to enhance the program further. With continued support from the YES! Fund, the MAC aims to broaden its offerings and ensure every student can explore and develop their artistic talents.
