Relate 360 is an evidence-based program that presents a wholesome comprehensive curriculum that aligns with the Kansas State standards for health education. We give an interactive, medically accurate, age-appropriate 3-5 day presentation that gives students from middle school to college the knowledge they need to make healthy choices when it comes to sex and relationships. This means we will always recommend the healthiest choices regarding sex and relationships based on medical and social science. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) states that “The most reliable way to avoid the transmission of STDs is to abstain from sexual activity or to be in a long-term, mutually monogamous relationship with an uninfected partner.” Do we encourage abstinence? Absolutely!  However, we also know that about 40% of teens will become sexually active in high school so we emphasize their responsibility to themselves and their partner(s) in this decision, making sure they understand the risks and give them the information they need to be as safe and healthy as possible. We also stress that optimal health is more than just the absence of disease.
