Join us for the 7th Annual MHK Chili Cook-Off presented by Sink Gordon & Associates on November 2th from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm hosted by the GMCF Young Trustees! Come try over 25 different chili recipes/samples while watching the away Kansas State @ Houston game on a 15 ft jumbotron outside of Sink Gordon & Rockin K’s (1960 Kimball Ave.). All proceeds and prize money are donated across various non-profits in the Manhattan area as well as the Young Trustees of Manhattan. Our Activities
There is something for every age, so grab your family or friends and head down for some fun all while supporting local businesses and non-profits!

- - Taste over 25 different chili's made by local businesses and teams entering the competition to win prize money to be gifted to the non-profit of their choice.
- - Vote for your favorite chili for your favorite team’s chance to be crowned “People’s Champions” for additional non-profit prize money.

Our Mission
100% of all Chili Cook-off proceeds will go to local non-profits. The Greater Manhattan Community Foundation’s Young Trustees have organized this family-friendly event as a way for businesses and citizens to gather in support of our local non-profits.
Your participation as a sponsor, competitor, or by purchasing a ticket allows our organization to funnel thousands of dollars directly back into Manhattan’s needs. We are proud of this opportunity and thank you for participating in the 2023 Chili Cook-off!

Our Impact
In the first five years of the MHK Chili Cook-Off, more than $84,000 was raised and distributed to non-profit organizations. Over 30 non-profits have benefitted annually from funds raised by this event.
Last year in 2023, over $16,000 was raised and distributed to 34 non-profit organizations.
We hope for continued growth as we enter our 7th year of the Chili Cook-off in 2024.
This event is so special to the Young Trustees because it allows us to be directly transparent in our fundraising to benefit our community. Our impact is continuing to grow, which makes us so excited to see how this event will benefit even more nonprofit organizations in Manhattan this year!
