Midwest Dream Car Mural

This project utilizes vehicle images from different eras to educate on the history and development of our mobile culture through the advances of the automobile. The plan for the cars mural is to install it on the East end of our building along Seth Child Road for high visibility. The side also has space for people to stop, take pictures and study the large installation in greater detail. The service station component will be installed on the north-facing corner of the building (northeast corner) facing Anderson Avenue.

This project has several goals. First, to add beauty to a space that is dull and lifeless. As stated earlier, this will be used as an educational tool. Further, it showcases the concept of the automobile (cars and trucks) as works of art in their own right. This includes Art Deco themes, the space race, and aeronautical engineering themes, as well as the impact economics and current politics have on vehicle design, plus the ability to push the envelope through engineering and physics.
