Dennis Mullin
2012 - 2013 Board Chair
Dennis is a veteran of the United States Army, serving stateside during the waning days of the Vietnam War. He joined SPS Steel and Pipe Supply, as it was known at the time, in 1972 to work on Steel and Pipe Supply’s first computer system. Within two short years, Dennis was promoted to Financial VP. Over the next 21 years, Dennis managed numerous areas of SPS's commercial and financial operations. In 1995, Dennis was named President of Steel and Pipe Supply, followed by CEO in 1999, and became Chairman in 2009.
Dennis has never believed that what we did yesterday to be successful will be enough to survive tomorrow. Because of this, Dennis’s decades of leadership with SPS are marked by unprecedented growth through diversification and innovation. Dennis’s vision has created the SPS of today, and his leadership has developed a strong team to ensure the SPS of the future.
