Jim Morrison

When history is reviewed, the efforts of Jim Morrison will be read all over Manhattan. His willingness to help get things off the ground is well known and that goes for the community foundation as well. Jim was at the table during those early discussions and as the story goes, Jim shared his feelings that it was time to stop talking and make it a reality—thus the formation of the Manhattan Community Foundation on March 8, 1999. He was a Founder, early Board President, and recognized as GMCF Volunteer of the Year in 2015.
