Mark Knackendoffel

The origin of the community foundation begins with Mark Knackendoffel. His vision and love for the Manhattan community led to the conversation and eventual formation of the community foundation in 1999. Through his efforts at The Trust Company, he saw the need to keep funds in the community and determined the establishment of the Manhattan Community Foundation to be the answer. He has never wavered in his support and has been recognized as GMCF Professional Advisor of the Year in 2003 and GMCF Philanthropist of the Year in 2014.
