Chili Cook- Off Guidelines

  • Teams will receive 20% off a ONE-TIME trip for ANY supplies from Hy-Vee the week of the event. (This includes, if needed, pots, pans, coolers, etc.) coupon will be included in your team packets in October.
  • You are responsible for providing chili for tasting at competition and some reserved for the judges.
  • It’s encouraged to select a theme for your team and decorations that match that theme.
  • When choosing a theme, keep in mind that this is a family-friendly event. The Young Trustees’ Committee will review all teams.
  • There will be industry-specific awards given if three or more of one industry participate in the competition
  • All teams will have a designated area assigned on the day of the event.

All other information, including judging information, will be provided in the team packets you will receive in October.

To accommodate different preferences and payment cycles, we've introduced a dual-form system: one for immediate payment and another for deferred payment. This strategic decision aims to provide greater convenience, enhancing user experience and operational efficiency.

$ 500 Team Entry

- Four chili-tasting tickets to participate in the tasting portion of the event - Eight (8) drink tickets - 20% grocery discount for a one-time use of supplies (Coupon in team entry packet) - Team Business and Non-Profit Promoted on All Social Media Platforms and Event Programs.

$ 1,000 Non - Profit Team Sponsor

Sponsor a non-profit to participate in the chili cook-off, and they will receive: - Eight (8) drink tickets - Four chili-tasting tickets to participate in the tasting portion of the event - Business and Non-Profit Team Promoted on All Social Media Platforms and Event Programs - $300 gift card for the sponsored non-profit team to purchase supplies needed for cooking.

$ 500 Family Fun Sponsor (Three Available)

This sponsorship will help support kid-friendly activities the day of the event (bounce houses, kids meals, face painting etc.) and include: - Two chili-tasting tickets to participate in the tasting portion of the event - Business and Non-profit promoted on all social media platforms and event programs.
